Originally from Philadelphia, Janice comes from a family of architects and engineers, so being a designer is in her DNA. She moved to Chapel Hill in 2018 from New York and has since been at Szostak Design as a project architect and manager. Previously, Janice worked for Studio 1200 in Short Hill, NJ, and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in New York City, NY.
Janice has more than 20 years of experience in architectural design and has proven to be a lead contributor on projects around the world for clients such as the Irvine Company in California and Lodha Group in India. She has experience in a wide array of project types including PK-12 schools, colleges and universities, high-rise offices, and custom residences. At Szostak Design, Janice has worked on such projects as the Tabor City and West Columbus PK-12 Schools (Columbus County, NC), the UNC-Chapel Hill Curtis Media Center (Chapel Hill, NC), and a custom residence in Durham, NC.
Janice is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate school of Design and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
