Alek Wimberly joined Szostak Design in March of 2021. Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, he holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from NC State’s College of Design, where he was also awarded the Faculty Award for Design Achievement and the Academic Achievement Award in the Master of Architecture program. Alek has a strong passion for the history of modern architecture in the region and is continuously looking to further that knowledge. His experience includes residential and commercial work, most notably a comprehensive renovation of the Arthur and Betty Cogswell House, while with another architecture firm. He is an asset to our team and is adept at jumping in to assist throughout all phases of design and construction.

Outside of his architecture career, Alek can typically be found feeding his love for cars by attending local car events, visiting the track, or watching Formula One.
