The primary use of this facility is for daily practice by the university’s athletic teams, specifically the track team. The new building is comprised of three main spaces: track and field area, artificial turf area, and athletic/support spaces. The 115,000 square foot main facility houses six 42-inch and eight 48-inch sprint lanes on a 220 meter track with hydraulically banked curves, an Astroturf field, weight training facility, and spectator grandstands. The building contains public spaces, locker room facilities, a training room, strength training room, and storage. The facility is used for both competitive and special events.
